Meet Team Duncan

Darcie, a native and life-long resident of Anna Maria Island, founded and opened Duncan Real Estate in 1998, after eight years as a sales associate and broker associate. Beginning as a one-person shop, in a one room office with a part time assistant, today Darcie can proudly point to a team of eight which includes sales associates, a property manager and full time assistant all working in a renovated, Florida bungalow on historic Pine Avenue. Recently Darcie was featured as one of the top 100 women in business in Sarasota's Scene Magazine's special issue dedicated to Women on the Scene.

Darcie’s success has stemmed from lots of hard work, but mostly from early beginnings which taught her about team work: as a high school softball star, and later working with her mother and father team in the real estate business. She’s also big on community involvement and on building relationships, which is why she believes her business profits from a strong referral base. Darcie is a founder and member of the Anna Maria Island Community Center, a regular contributor to the Anna Maria Little League, a member and Board Member of the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce. Darcie also maintains a hand in several local charities by donating time and resources to the Pace Center for Girls, the American Cancer Society, and most recently on the committee that organizes the South Florida Museum’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Darcie loves to fish, swim and bicycle ride. She has participated in numerous fishing tournaments and proudly shows off her largest catch: a 250-lb sailfish caught in Hawaii in 2002.
